Parks get nominated on the details: shade, bathrooms, and whether the playground suits more than one age at once. These finalists came from families across DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia, with daily voting through July. Look at parking or Metro access, water play in summer, fenced areas for younger children, and which trails work with a stroller.
