Maple Sugaring

Experience the tradition of maple sugaring! Watch the maple sugaring
process. See sap drip from trees and taste it. Watch us boil down the sap
into sweet maple syrup. Then, sample the finished product. The tastiest

Handmade Valentine Card Workshop

Tiny Tot Celebration: Little Hearts Valentine’s Day

Twilight Tuesdays – Valentine’s Day Cards (with a message)

5-8 p.m. Friday is Valentine’s Day. Artist educator, Alma Robinson leads a
family art workshop on designing valentine cards on the theme, Why I Love
My Community. This program is part of the museum’s new Twilight Tuesdays
series of drop-in programs. The museum is open until 8pm every Tuesday. No

Valentine’s Day Skate

4:45-6:15 p.m. Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Cabin John! Registered skaters
can participate in the afternoon public skate session and join us in the
party rooms to make valentines for their skating friends and family.
Skaters under the age of 6 should have a parent participate in the public
skating and craft portion of the program. Please register the child only.

Valentine’s Day Handi-hour Pop-Up

5-7 p.m. Celebrate friendship, love, and fun at our annual Valentine’s Day
Handi-hour pop-up in SAAM’s dazzling Kogod Courtyard. Paper, scissors,
stickers, glue, and more are provided for you to make the perfect sweet or
snarky valentine. Free; registration recommended. Registration will open on

Leesburg- Valentine’s Day Cookie Deco
February 15
4-6 p.m. Ages: 13+, tweens ages 10-12 accepted if accompanied by an adult
who is also enrolled in the workshop. Roses are red, violets are blue,
sugar is sweet… and so are Valentine cookies! In this class, Mayra
Garcia from celebrateMe!, will teach you how to make the perfect Royal
Icing consistency to fill and outline your Valentine Cookies. Each student
will receive 10 pre-baked cookies ready to be decorated. Some of the
designs include: Hearts, Flowers, Cupcakes and Teddy Bears. The workshop
will last for 2 hours and will include a box to take your treats home in.
All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the
workshop only. This class can be a little messy so you’re encouraged to

Families Unplugged: Nailed It! Valentine’s Treats
February 22
Children must register with an adult. Ages 5 and up. Test your sweet treat
decorating skills at this fun and exciting Families Unplugged event. You
and your family will bake cookies in a variety of Valentine’s Day shapes
and participate in 3 fun decorating challenges. We request that you arrive
on time as Families Unplugged is designed for families to participate in
activities for the entirety of the program. To reduce waste we will utilize
