Mason Neck State Park

Mason Neck State Park is situated on a peninsula bordered by Pohick Bay, Belmont Bay and the Potomac River. The park is not only an active heron rookery but also a haven for various bird species, including whistling swans and different types of ducks. It features several hundred acres of hardwood forests, including oak, holly and hickory trees, as well as multiple wetland areas. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities such as boating, fishing, biking, hiking and picnicking within the park.
