Our kid reporter, Diyonna L. (aged 13) sat down with Epidemiologist Dr. Anna Durbin of John’s Hopkins to discuss the new COVID-19 vaccine for teens.
The CDC recommends that everyone 12 years and older get a COVID-19 vaccination to help protect against severe cases of COVID-19. We know that widespread vaccination is a critical tool to help stop the spread of virus’ and to end the global pandemic. While all this is true, some parents still feel wary of having their child vaccinated. Diyonna spoke candidly with Dr. Durbin, asking questions and sharing her own concerns regarding the vaccine. She hopes that their conversation can shed light for any other teens or parents struggling with vaccine hesitancy.
