Meet Ronel Hentschel, our Publisher and digital expert behind Washington Parent. With a passion for digital marketing and parenting and a deep commitment to creating meaningful content for families, Ronel is a dedicated mother of two teenage boys. She has an MBA in International Management from the University of London.

Karen Kullgren

Karen is a Local Marketing Advisor and Editor for Washington Parent. She is the author of “Grace in the Gray Areas: Thriving in Life’s Paradoxes” and has been a prolific freelance writer and editor. Mom to one son, Karen is a lifelong avid reader. She has an M.A. in East Asian Studies.

Karen Washburn

Karen Washburn is a Multi-Media Sales Advisor. She is from the Northern Virginia area and received a BS Degree in Business/Marketing at GMU. For 30 years, she has enjoyed helping clients improve their businesses through advertising and digital outreach.

Djinni Field

Djinni is a Marketing Advisor. She assists businesses serving DMV families in showcasing their products and services with WPM. Djinni enjoys building client relationships and helping make connections in the community. On weekends, you might run into Djinni at area events with her husband and teenage twins. A certified weed warrior in Montgomery County, you might also find her freeing trees from invasive vines. Djinni has lived in the DMV for over twenty years and has a B.S. in Business Administration from American University.

Meredith Hancock

Meet Meredith Hancock, graphic designer for Washington Parent. With over two decades of experience and a BFA in Digital Design, Meredith has honed her skills in crafting brands and magazines. Beyond her professional commitments, she actively engages in community service, embodying her motto of “Design to Make a Difference.”

Liam McCrickard

Liam McCrickard is Assistant Editor at Washington Parent. He’s also a freelance writer, game designer, and avid player of tabletop role playing games in his spare time. He has a B.A. in Creative and Professional Writing from Goucher College.
