Meet Ronel Hentschel, our Publisher and digital expert behind Washington Parent. With a passion for digital marketing and parenting and a deep commitment to creating meaningful content for families, Ronel is a dedicated mother of two teenage boys. She has an MBA in International Management from the University of London.

Karen Kullgren

Karen is a Multi-Media Marketing Advisor and former Editor for Washington Parent. She is the author of the book Grace in the Gray Areas: Thriving in Life’s Paradoxes and has been a prolific freelance writer and editor. Karen is a lifelong avid reader who’s loving that her joyful young grandson is already one and has come to expect that Nana always arrives with a book when she visits.

Karen Washburn

Karen Washburn is a Multi-Media Sales Advisor. She is from the Northern Virginia area and received a BS Degree in Business/Marketing at GMU. For 30 years, she has enjoyed helping clients improve their businesses through advertising and digital outreach.

Djinni Field

Djinni is a Marketing Advisor. She assists businesses serving DMV families in showcasing their products and services with WPM. Djinni enjoys building client relationships and helping make connections in the community. On weekends, you might run into Djinni at area events with her husband and teenage twins. A certified weed warrior in Montgomery County, you might also find her freeing trees from invasive vines. Djinni has lived in the DMV for over twenty years and has a B.S. in Business Administration from American University.

Jacky Dooly Martin

Jacky is a Multi-Media Marketing Advisor. She is a life-long resident of Montgomery County and has worked in the Parenting Space for over 25 years. A mother of 3 sons who loves Pilates and Swimming.
