Summer might feel far away, but February brings something kids and parents can get excited about now. Washington Parent, together with KOJAM Events, will host four free Camp & Family Fitness Fairs at major shopping centers across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia—giving families a fun, active way to start planning for summer 2026.
These events combine everything families love about camp fairs with a fresh focus on movement, wellness, and healthy fun. In addition to meeting camp staff in person and exploring programs in sports, arts, STEM, and overnight camps, families can discover fitness-focused activities designed to get kids moving and energized. With hands-on experiences, giveaways, and lively interactions, the fairs feel less like planning and more like a preview of an active, engaging summer ahead.
Walking into a fair feels like stepping into a preview of camp season. Kids jump into mini activities at the booths, pick up giveaways or chat with counselors. Parents often say that in-person conversations help them understand a camp’s approach far better than scrolling through websites.
“We love seeing families arrive and instantly feel the buzz,” said the Washington Parent events team. “Parents want real answers, and kids want something fun to check out. The fairs offer both.”
Each venue offers easy parking, an inviting setup and plenty for kids to explore. Whether your child is brand-new to camp or returning for another season, the fairs make planning feel simple rather than overwhelming.
Camp & Family Fitness Fairs Dates
- Tysons Corner Center — Feb. 7, 2026 | 11 am–4 pm
- Dulles Town Center — Feb. 14, 2026 | 11 am–4 pm
- Springfield Town Center — Feb. 21, 2026 | 11 am–4 pm

Because many camps fill early, attending the fairs gives families a head start. Parents can ask about schedules, themes, pricing, safety, staff training and daily routines—all in one stop.
Think of the fairs as your launch pad for family fitness and a summer your kids will talk about long after it ends.
More details, including exhibitor lists and planning tips, will appear online and in the February digital edition of Washington Parent.
Companies interested in exhibiting at any of the fairs are encouraged to contact the Washington Parent team for participation options and availability.
