Who We Are

During these performance intensives, young actors dive into the world of the greatest playwright in history: William Shakespeare. Under the guidance of theatre professionals, participants unravel Shakespeare's plays with text analysis; transform into his characters through voice, movement and improvisation work; wage battles against mortal enemies with stage combat; and develop fundamental acting skills using classical theatre techniques. To culminate each session, participants perform Shakespeare's work for friends and family at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Camp from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Showcase on the last Friday or Saturday.

What Others Say

My daughter looks forward to Camp Shakespeare more than she looks forward to any other activity. She and I greatly appreciate how these camps always are collaborative and cooperative--never competitive. Students seem to bond quickly and support each other. That can be hard to achieve in teen theater sometimes, yet Camp Shakespeare achieves it, and produces terrific work at the same time. Bravo.
