Thomas Sweet has been operating in Princeton, NJ since 1979, but made a name for themselves in Washington, D.C. after President Obama and his daughters visited for a Father’s Day ice cream in 2011. Boasting dozens upon dozens of delicious frozen flavors, Thomas Sweet is best known for their“blend-ins,”where customers get to choose one or more flavors and toppings twisted together. Visit their Georgetown location for a frozen treat this month!

You may have heard of the dessert dynasty known as Momofuku, but have you ever tasted it? Started by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi in New York City’s East Village, Milk Bar has grown across the country including D.C. locations at The Wharf, Logan Circle and City Center. They’re known for their familiar sounding treats with a twist, like their cereal milk soft serve, which tastes just like the milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl.
