NIH Teen Depression Research Study

Medically healthy kids, ages 8-17, can help scientists understand the mind. How? Join a study comparing healthy children to those with anxiety disorders. This eight-week outpatient study is conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD and includes psychological interviews and brain imaging. Hometown Holidays Music Festival

This Memorial Day weekend gather the family together and head down to the Hometown Holidays Music Festival in Rockville for fabulous food, fun and music. More than 25 bands and musicians perform in an exciting music festival spanning across four stages featuring multiple genres like country, reggae, rock, American and Irish. Kids can enjoy live children's entertainment or build a sand castle on the beach. Favorite local eateries, including Potomac Pizza and American Tap Room, will also be on display during the simultaneous Taste of Rockville event. Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival – 26th Annual

The Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE) presents their annual two-day show and sale of original art. The festival includes original works by 220 fine artists from across the nation in 11 blocks of booths featuring paintings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, jewelry and fine crafts, plus innovative dance performances and free art-making activities in the Family Art Park. Listed in “Top 20” art shows in the nation. May 20 and 21 at Reston Town Center. $5 adult donation requested.
