Dream Big: Engineering Our World

DREAM BIG is an IMAX 3D film about engineering that promotes the E in STEM. It was produced to offer a fresh perspective on engineering, one that shows the creativity and compassion engineers have, and to inspire kids of all backgrounds to want to become engineers. From the world’s tallest buildings to underwater robots and a solar car race across Australia, DREAM BIG celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels, and shows how engineers push the limits of innovation.

National Geographic Presents: Earth Explorers

In this highly interactive, family-friendly exhibition, visitors will embark on an epic adventure to discover new species, study animal behavior and learn about how technology, innovation and ingenuity help explorers make and document their discoveries. This immersive environment allows visitors to take a simulated ride on a hot air balloon and go underseas in a submersible.

Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival 2017

Historic Leesburg kicks off the spring season with the Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival, showcasing lush landscapes and gorgeous gardens with a two-day, family-friendly event that includes food, music, children’s entertainment and crafts. More than 100 vendors will display landscape designs, gardening supplies, outdoor living items, plants, flowers, herbs and much more! Held rain or shine on Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

20th Anniversary

AFYP has been a fixture in Northern Virginia for 20 years, growing to include after-school programs, five weeks of Summer Acting Camp, seasonal showcase programs and more. Founding Artistic Director Mary Lechter proudly recalls the twenty-year journey and is excited for the years to come. AFYP will hold an official 20th Anniversary Celebration this June along with student performances, a world premiere professional touring show and community events in observance of this monumental milestone.

Draw Out Your Child’s Personal Best Through Rock Climbing

Some of the skills necessary to become successful adults are communication, collaboration, creativity, socialization and problem solving. All of these areas are fostered in the climbing environment at Earth Treks. Climbers are always communicating with each other, learning to work together as a team through a variety of programs and exercises on and off the rock walls.
