Leesburg Animal Park

The Leesburg Animal Park is a family-owned and operated farm that hosts a variety of animals such as camels, zebras, gibbons, lemurs and animals you can pet and feed. You can also meet its oldest residents, Jade and Jethro, Giant Aldabra Tortoises. Jade is 44 and Jethro is 102 years old. The Park recently added a new indoor facility with an indoor play zone, party rooms, live animal exhibits and more. Monkey Joe's

Monkey Joe's Party & Play Center is an indoor playground with wall-to-wall inflatables. Conveniently located in the Germantown Commons shopping Center, MJ's offers a fun, safe and clean environment for kids 12 and under to stay active by bouncing, sliding and climbing. It also offers an age-appropriate video arcade, where kids can earn tickets to redeem prizes. A full concession stand provides a range of options for both kids and adults. You can also celebrate your birthday with Monkey Joe, and with 3 different birthday party options there is something for everyone.

Olney Theatre

The Chicago-based company, The Hypocrites, reimagine Gilbert & Sullivan's, “The Mikado” and “The Pirates of Penzance” at Olney Theatre Center. These operettas are running in rotating repertory July 14 through August 21 in the Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab. These hilarious, irreverent versions are not replicated anywhere else in the D.C. region so you will not want to miss these fun-filled, family-friendly productions. And as an added bonus … you can be a part of the action by sitting among the actors in the promenade.

Mysa School

“Trusty the Tractor's Day Off” at Clark's Elioak Farm

If you are looking for a fun day for the whole family, then you will want to make a trip to Clark's Elioak Farm in Howard County, Maryland. But before you visit, you will want to read “Trusty the Tractor's Day Off” by Martha Anne Clark. In this delightful adventure, you can read along with Eli the goat and see all that happens on the farm. With everything from hayrides, pony rides and a cow train to the petting zoo, slides and fairy tale exhibits from the Enchanted Forest, your little ones will enjoy the book as much as a live visit. Adventure Theatre

Adventure Theatre MTC goes wild with a world premier play, “Jumanji!” This immersive four-dimensional adaption brings the children's classic to life. Journey along with Judy and Peter after they are plunged into a mysterious old board game. One live lion, an erupting volcano and some destructive monkeys later, Judy, Peter and the entire audience are immersed in an experience they will never forget. The play runs from June 17 – August 28 and all performances are held at Adventure Theatre in the historic Glen Echo Park. Visit to purchase tickets.
