Dive Into Spanish:In September Bethesda International School - Colegio Internacional de Bethesda - begins the fifth year of its Saturday morning Spanish Immersion Program, staffed by experienced teachers certified in the United States and in their home countries. Poetry in Motion: Looking for a movement and music program that your toddler won't outgrow by age 2? If so, take a look at Jonah's Treehouse in upper Georgetown. Created by Vicki Gersten (attorney and mother of two young boys), the Jonah's Treehouse program combines free play and climbing on specially designed equipment, tumbling with mats and rope ladders, a musical component using simple instruments and children's poetry in conjunction with movement activities. This interdisciplinary component separates the program from other play and movement classes out there. To capture the imaginations of 3- and 4-year-olds, Gersten created module themes that change every 12 weeks, and she worked with experts to design each theme; teachers hold degrees in English Literature, Theater and Dance and Early Childhood Education.
